1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Battle Plan Mil website (battleplan.us-mil.com), registering a purchase, using any of the free calculators, or receiving updates from us, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Battle Plan Mil is operated by Battle Plan Mil LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), a Mississippi limited liability company. We publish printable digital products (binders, spreadsheets, kids packs, and reference guides) for military service members, veterans, and their families. Our products are sold through our Etsy storefront. This website provides:

• Free educational calculators (LES Translator, BRS Match Optimizer, PCS Cost Estimator, Deployment Window)
• A customer registration system for receiving free annual updates to purchased products
• Information about our products, the federal rates we track, and how we keep them current

We do not provide financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, or personalized recommendations.

3. Military Non-Affiliation Disclaimer

Battle Plan Mil LLC is a privately owned, veteran-built civilian business. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to the United States Department of Defense, the United States Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Space Force, Coast Guard, National Guard, Reserve components, or any other agency of the federal government.

Our domain (battleplan.us-mil.com) is a privately registered subdomain. The ".us-mil.com" portion is a commercial domain, not a ".mil" military domain. Use of military terminology and references on this site reflects the lived experience of our founder and is intended for the benefit of military families. No government endorsement is implied.

4. Purchases Through Etsy

Our products are sold through the Etsy marketplace (etsy.com/shop/BattlePlanMil). When you purchase a Battle Plan Mil product:

• The transaction is between you and Etsy. Etsy processes payment, handles invoices, and provides the order confirmation. Battle Plan Mil LLC does not process payments directly.
• Refunds and order disputes for the transaction are governed by Etsy's policies. If you need to dispute a charge, request a refund, or report a billing problem, you must do so through Etsy's Help Center within their policy windows.
• Product quality concerns and update questions go directly to us. If a product file is missing, corrupt, or you have a question about how something is supposed to work, email us at hello@battleplan.us-mil.com.

We have no control over Etsy's pricing display, shipping estimates (our products are digital — there is no shipping), or other marketplace mechanics. Etsy's Terms of Service govern your use of their platform.

5. Digital Downloads and License to Use

Our products are digital downloads delivered through Etsy at the time of purchase. By purchasing a Battle Plan Mil product, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Print, save, and use the product for your own personal household, including all members of your immediate family
• Print as many physical copies as your household needs

You may not:

• Resell, redistribute, or share the product files with anyone outside your household
• Upload our files to any file-sharing service, group drive, social media platform, or website
• Modify and resell our products as your own work
• Use our products as part of any paid service, course, coaching program, or commercial offering without prior written permission
• Claim authorship of any portion of our content

Battle Plan Mil LLC retains all copyright and intellectual property rights in our products.

6. Annual Updates

Customers who register their purchase at battleplan.us-mil.com/register receive free updates for the products they purchased, for the life of those products. Updates are pushed by email when federal rates, JTR guidance, IRS limits, or product content materially changes. Typical update cadence is once per year, in January, when DoD and IRS publish new figures.

Registered customers control their email preferences and may unsubscribe at any time. Unsubscribing ends update emails but does not affect your license to use the product files you have already received.

We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep our products accurate, but we do not guarantee any specific update timing or content. Customers who do not register will not receive updates.

7. Calculators and Educational Content

The four calculators on this site (LES Translator, BRS Match Optimizer, PCS Cost Estimator, Deployment Window) and any educational content we publish are provided for general educational purposes only. They are not, and should not be relied upon as:

• Personalized financial, tax, legal, retirement, or career advice
• A substitute for advice from a qualified financial advisor, tax professional, attorney, JAG officer, base financial counselor, or other licensed professional
• An official source of pay, benefits, or entitlements information — your LES, your finance office, DFAS, and your branch's official channels are the authoritative sources for your specific situation
• A guarantee of any outcome, including the amount of your military pay, the size of your TSP balance, the cost of a PCS move, or the value of deployment-related entitlements

Calculator inputs run in your browser only. We do not store, transmit, or have access to any numbers you enter into the calculators. Calculators may use federal rates that were current as of the "Last verified" date displayed on our /rates page; rates may change without notice.

You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on output from our calculators or content from our products. We are not liable for any financial, career, or personal outcome arising from your use of this material.

8. User Accounts and Magic-Link Sign-In

The customer registration system uses magic-link email authentication. There are no passwords. You are responsible for keeping access to the email address associated with your registration; anyone with access to that inbox can sign in and view your registered products.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Battle Plan Mil website or our products to:

• Resell, redistribute, or pirate our digital products
• Probe, scan, or attempt to bypass security controls on the service
• Submit false purchase information, fraudulent Etsy order numbers, or impersonate another customer in the registration system
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate any person or organization in communications with us
• Use our content, brand name, or trademarks in any way that suggests false endorsement or affiliation
• Use automated tools to scrape, index, or systematically download content from our site

10. User Content

If you register a purchase or contact us, you may submit personal information (your email address, your service branch, the Etsy order number, and which products you purchased). Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent that any information you submit is accurate and that you have the right to submit it.

11. Service Availability

The Battle Plan Mil website is provided as-is and as-available. We do not offer an uptime guarantee. We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the website at any time, with or without notice.

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Battle Plan Mil LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of our products or website
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party
• Any decision you make based on output from our calculators or content from our products
• Any content you submit to or through the site

This obligation survives termination of your account and these Terms.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Battle Plan Mil LLC and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits, benefits, entitlements, or goodwill, arising from your use of our products, calculators, or website.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100) or the amount you have paid Battle Plan Mil LLC for the specific product giving rise to the claim, whichever is greater.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

Governing law. These Terms and any dispute arising from or related to them, our products, or this website are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Venue. Any legal action arising from or related to these Terms or our products must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Harrison County, Mississippi, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Force majeure. Battle Plan Mil LLC is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, weather events, pandemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, internet or telecommunications outages, or failure of third-party services (including Etsy, Netlify, Resend, or Cloudflare).

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website or our products after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
